MilVet Posted February 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2014 We have seen two places that interest us, Netto Bar (Green Rum) and Terrace Plaza (Pastechi). Is that walkable or would it be best to take a taxi? They are located several blocks up Breedestraat from the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge. Not sure of the safety issue. Isa65 Posted February 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Netto Bar is just a hole in the wall, but authentic. Make sure you taste the green rum with coconut water. To get to Netto you just need to walk towards the pontoon bridge, pass the bridge (on your right) and take the first street left. There is a tall, blue building on the corner (Hotel Otrabanda). That is Breedestraat. Walk up this street and you will find Netto on your left. I think Terrace Plaza is right in front of Netto (because that place keep changing names). For a pastechi you don't need to go all the way to the Breedestraat. Right when you exit Riffort (cruiseport area) there will be a taxi stand. Behind it is a round building selling snacks and drinks. You can get your pastechi's there. As far as safety, if you stick to Breedestraat and don't go wandering in any of the alleys you should be fine. And always during daytime. Have a great cruise!
