How to search with the search function down

Hi all! I've seen a lot of threads being posted that have been answered many, many times before. There's a way to search the forum with it being down.

 

Go to google.com and enter this "site:boards.cruisecritic.com" followed by what you're trying to find. If your searching for carnival specific threads please add "carnival" in there. Example:

 

site:boards.cruisecritic.com carnival faster to the fun worth it?

or

carnival faster to the fun worth it? site:boards.cruisecritic.com

 

Note, the search term can be before or after the "site" search as above. Want something else no including carnival? Don't add carnival in your search query.

A few days ago, I used the "search cruise critic" button to find a thread by a specific name, and it came up.

Is everyone missing the "Search Cruise Critic" box at the top just to the left of the blue box with the "Welcome and your name"? That has been working right along. I've use it and found exactly what I was looking for.
