Port of Los Angeles parking?

I will be picking up someone coming off the Sapphire Princess. Where can I park and wait (preferably not having to pay) until they call and say they are off the ship?? Is there such thing as a "cell phone lot" like the airports have?

There are lots that offer free parking for up to an hour, but it may be more convenient to park in the pay lot at $1 per hour especially if they can bring the luggage to where you've parked so that you don't have to jockey for space in front of the terminal.

If you get into San Pedro too early, you can use the Ports O'Call as the cell phone lot. Otherwise, the cruise terminal parking lot is free for the first hour.

I would recommend the Ports of Call lot, which is only about 1/3 mile away. The cruise parking and USS Iowa lots are fairly confusing (I know because I'm a Iowa crew member, and are there very frequently). When you get the pickup call, just drive northerly along Harbor Blvd, entering the terminal area via the Swinford ST. entrance. Turn immediately right into the terminal and follow the signs to the appropriate terminal.

Speaking of being picked up... What time should we expect to disembark,from the Sapphire Princess following a 4 day cruise?
