Check in time Miami

Two days ago I received an e-mail telling me not to come to the port to check in until from 1-3 PM. Today I received an e-mail saying if I wanted to beat the rush to come and check in between 10:30 and 12:30.... Any idea why?

I always ignore those.

 

I also read a while back, not sure if it is true, that if a lot of people book air through carnival, they send that notice out to try and make those passengers have a less crowded terminal.

I ignored the first one, but kind of liking the second one :)

I'm driving to Miami, and it said something like "if you have flexible travel plans and want to beat the rush"...

Every cruise we've taken we get to the port between 10:30 and 11. You may have to wait to board the ship but at least you'll be checked in and seated rather than standing in a long line waiting to check in.

We've always arrived at POM around 10:30. Never had to wait outside, walked right in and started the pre-boarding process. Plus it's fun to watch the current guests disembark and the wedding parties get on early.
