Communicating For Free Onboard The Magic?

Hello! I'm Candace and I'm fairly new to CC :D Anyhow, I do have a request for ideas regarding keeping intouch on the boat. So my family is going on the Magic at the end of this month, and we want to know if theres a way to communicate with eachother without having to buy the internet, cellphone service, or walkie talkies. In the past I've just ran across the ship and told my parents where I was going to be in person, but it's a hassle and I'm not always able to get to them,(If they're in the adults only area, the casino, etc.), so some forum of wireless communication would be nice! I remember hearing something about using Carnival's forums a while back, but I just wanted to know if any of you had ideas! Thanks!

{P.S, its just my two parents and me, so I can't use the buddy system with siblings. (curse being an only child :()}

We took a pad of post it notes and left notes on the door to the room as to where we would be and make plans for the "required" check in times. You can easily find them in the Casino without difficulty as it is quite open. Just establish times and locations as to where and when you are to show up.

If you have a internet enabled device you can use the carnivals forums to communicate for free on ship or with people off ship. Not sure however how quick it updates to the board if you are out to sea.

Just go to carnival.com. Along the bottom click support forums which takes you to the funville forums. Register for the forums, look for the subforum "currently onboard" under user groups and make a new post. Everyone can than post for free on that message thread.

We posted once a day with an update for our family and they could leave us messages. No cost for this.

If you go this route I would get user names set up before you sail and just bookmark that page on your device so it loads quicker
