Cmoore19 Posted March 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Well we are back from Enchantment of the seas, out of Port Canaveral. :) It was a 4 night 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. I wanted to do a review since I loved reading and seeing pictures from everyone's review. Little background: Me and my husband have been wanting to go on a cruise for a while. (Years) So we finally decided the only way we are gonna be able to do it is to just book it! And thats what we did. It was my husband and I and my mom and brother. This was our first cruise and wont be our last cause like everyone else we are hooked. We already booked our next one in 2015. Jewel of the Seas for the California coast. We live in San Diego so we wouldnt have to fly. Plus the ship is only there for a couple dates and we didnt want to miss it! So we booked it while on the Enchantment and signed up for crown and anchor. :) So here comes the review!
Cmoore19 Posted March 2, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) Flying to Port Canaveral We flew out saturday morning. The flight was pretty uneventful. We stopped in Atlanta and then down to Orlando. We had to wait for bit for our shuttle since the people ahead of us had there flight delayed so we had to wait for another shuttle. We used coco beach shuttle. Overall was a pretty good experience with them. They were there waiting when we got off the ship too. We got to see the good ol Disney World buses. Miss that. We got to our hotel in the evening and checked in. We stayed at the Radisson at the port. We were very disappointed in the resort. The best part was the pool. The service was bad. They weren't very friendly. And the rooms had sleep number beds which I was excited about! But when we finally got them to work they were still horrible to sleep on. Rock hard! SO needless to say we didn't sleep very well for the next 2 nights. The pool there at the resort: Sunday we just spent the day at the pool pretty much. Gave my hubby a chance to test out the underwater camera. And before that we walked over to the manatee park which was free and we were able to see Freedom of the Seas docked! :) Edited March 2, 2014 by Cmoore19

dacsmom Posted March 2, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Cannot wait for the rest of the review. I have heard the Radisson at the Port has gone downhill. They were supposed to be renovating and that was why the reviews were bad. But they have not gotten any better. I stayed there in 2005 and it was ok. The sleep number bed was broken then too. I do agree the pool is awesome.
Cmoore19 Posted March 2, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Well today is the big day! We board the ship! We took the Radisson shuttle over to the port. Once we got there they took our luggage and we were on our way! Once in the building it was a breeze to check in and get on the ship. We got there a little early so we waited about 15 minutes. And then we were boarding. :) Seeing the ship for the first time was awesome! This was a smaller one and it still looked huge! Disney and Carnival were there with us in port. Cmoore19 Posted March 2, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) Once on board we went and got our first drink and sat out on the deck with some food from the windjammer. :) At 1:30ish our rooms were ready! So we went to check em out. View from our stateroom at port: Us at sail away :) Muster drill went by pretty fast too. That was my first time doing it and I was pleased how fast and organized it was. Cmoore19 Posted March 2, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) That night we ate in the main dining room. Every night there was fantatstic!! The food was great and the service was awesome! The head waitress was awesome. I could have talked to her for hours! Us ready for dinner! After dinner we just walked around and got acquainted with the ship. Went through the casino and the shops. We stopped at the centrum and they had 'finish that lyric' going on which was funny. Everything that we saw in the centrum was great. Especially the disco inferno dance party! Marc the cruise ship director was so awesome!!! He was one of the highlights! Next day.... Cococ Cay!! FinallyCruisinIn2014 Posted March 2, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Love the pictures so far - thanks! Can't wait to read more. Questions - you mentioned a "free" manatee park at PC? What is that and where is it?? :)

What is that and where is it?? :) Its was behind the radisson at the port. Just a few blocks. Its pretty much just a public park. I guess some times during the year they have manatee's there. Its free to go. Then they have board walks along the water and you can see the port in the distance. I have a quick video of it if you would like to see it. Cmoore19 Posted March 2, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Today is Coco Cay! We got up and headed over to the Windjammer for breakfast. (Which was not my fav place for breakfast. Hubby got a coffee cup with lipstick left from the last person who drank from it.) Then we were off to get onto the ferry to go across. There was no line and we went right on. Here are some pictures from that day! I also have video of the snorkeling :)
Cmoore19 Posted March 2, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) Once on the island we made the trek to barefoot beach which we heard was worth the walk for having the beach pretty much to yourself. Which we did for a little while. (There is always that family with the whiny screaming kid that ruins it that sits right next you when there is tons of other places to sit. Sorry... that was my vent for the day) Edited March 2, 2014 by Cmoore19

jessicalorene Posted March 2, 2014 #24 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Did you see any of the cabanas on CoCo Cay? So far, everything is great - keep it up.... Ok so I'm not the OP but I seriously toyed with the idea of getting a cabana .. in the end I was totally happy in my chair by the water with a large umbrella for shade. The cabanas were far back from the water - if I had a bunch of people with me I would do it but for my group of 3 I am glad I didn't spend the money Private bar would have been nice though! :D
Cmoore19 Posted March 2, 2014 Author #25 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Did you see any of the cabanas on CoCo Cay? So far, everything is great - keep it up.... Umm I just saw them pulling in on the ferry. They looked pretty nice though. You can see them in one of the pics kinda. I believe those are the ones you are talking about. In less you mean the white and blue ones?
