cberge Posted July 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2005 Will be in Paris and would like suggestion on Hotels near the Paris Nord rail station. Here is a link for the area you are requesting a hotel in which is the 10arr.You can check out the hotels in the area of the Gard du Nord. Morgans Posted July 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2005 This can be a rather dodgy area - don't choose a hotel north of the station. Try and head south west of the station if you can. This is not the nicest area of Paris and you may well want to consider a short taxi ride towards the centre. Marge
Globaliser Posted July 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2005 I agree with that. Why do you need to be near the Gare du Nord? Central Paris is compact enough that unless you have a pressing need to be near there you're almost certainly better off staying elsewhere in Paris and taking a taxi to the Gare du Nord when you need to get your train. cberge Posted July 26, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 26, 2005 Thank you so much for the information. We have reconsidered and will taxi as suggested to another area. The link to hotels in Paris is great! Thanks again. If you want to stay on the Right bank try the 1st or the 8th arr.The link should help you pick one in one of these area's as they run together and you can walk to a lot as well as many places to eat.You are wise not to stay near the station, but that was not my call.Enjoy Paris.
