Calm Blue Ocean Posted March 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2014 We are considering switching from Carnival Liberty to Norwegian Getaway. My question is this: Can someone who has bad knees use the ladders to get into the pool? Are the hot tub steps large, or easy to get in an out of? This (should) hopefully be the deciding factor as to which ship we will choose. Thanks!

DH also was able to, and he just had to have a hip replacement so I know he was bad off on our cruise last October. I did hang on carefully... Clem Kadiddlehopper Posted March 7, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2014 As someone who has had six bi-lateral knee operations I actually feel fully qualified to answer this one... :) We have cruised twice with NCL. On both ships I had very little problem getting into or out of any pool or hot tub. while there is no way for anyone to know if you or anyone in your party will experience problems, I personally would not be overly concerned about this. Book your cruise on NCL and I am sure you all all have a great time!
