Monkeymom1010 Posted March 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2014 I was wondering if anyone could give me feedback on the Gems kids program. I have sons ages 9 and 11 years old. The NCL website doesn't give many details on the 10-12 year old group. He wouldn't be interested in younger activities and don't want him to be bored. Also website says offseason they combine 6-9 yr group with 10-12 yr group. Would that happen in the Gem for a July sailing? Thanks!!!!
Lori226 Posted April 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2014 HI there... had you found out anything about your 11 yr and the program? I have an 11 as well (boy) on the cruise we are going to 5/10 - when I mentioned the program he said - its probably for babies.. I also have my 7 year boy coming and I hate the idea the two will be separated.
The Mister Posted April 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2014 (I know this is from a few weeks ago, but I'm answering anyway...) Also website says offseason they combine 6-9 yr group with 10-12 yr group. Would that happen in the Gem for a July sailing? Thanks!!!! July is guaranteed NOT to be off-season for families sailing with kids. Children's programs will be quite full with no combining. Nothing to worry about there. swisstwins Posted April 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2014 We are sailing on the July 19th cruise with 2 eleven year olds. I would love to see a schedule of the kids activities before we sail.:)

onthelake Posted April 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Don't know about the Gem but when my son was that age he felt there were too many crafts that were 'girly'. He still liked the kids club just to hang with new friends - just thought they did some lame crafts.
