Library on the Radiance

Recommended Posts

It seems to be stocked with books that passengers have left behind. There were some history books, but mostly novels, mysteries, bodice-busters and the like. Although you are supposed to check the books out, the book I picked (a Spenser for Hire) didn't have a code on it, so I just took it, read it and returned it when finished. I think I also left off another book that I had finished during the trip. There was no librarian in evidence, it all operated on an honor system.

I am a voracious reader but hate to weigh down the luggage with books. The library is usually my first stop on board so I'm sure to find something to interest me. The Radiance is the first ship I've seen where the books are strictly on the honor system - there was never any staff there. There was a fairly nice selection and I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 I read there.:D
