If that is true it is about time!!

Those of us on the West Coast have to pay so much for flights etc that the " deals" are still expensive!

Would love to do a Vancouver to Hawaii trip on a larger newer ship

It would be nice. Over on the Pacific Coastal forum there is thread on why very few ships home port out of California. Once of the cruise line insiders indicated that California has:

- consistently worst money making passenger mix of any port area.

- challenging environmental regulations that make it expensive to cruise out of California

- inflexible port workers

- ......

It would be nice, however unfortunate as it is I think we are more likely to get the Jewel class ships on the pacific coast. I am quite happy to see the Sun go to South America. That makes for a nice option.

It will be interesting to see where they Homeport Bliss. I don't see them putting it in Miami, NY, or Europe so I'm curious where it would sail out of.

I Am Thinking Probably Norwegian Cruise Line May Put Norwegian Bliss Homeport At Port Canaveral That Is If There Planning To Build A Other Terminal To Accommodate More Ships Since There Currently Packed With All The Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Lines & Royal Caribbean International Schedule

I did a search and came up with this...

I'm still thinking it's coming west...Just a thought.:D:p

I Don't Know If A Ship That Size Would Fit Under That Bridge

Again, as with the Verrazano-Narrows, Bliss will fit under the Golden Gate.

That's be a pretty bold and risky choice, homeporting a brand new megaship on the west coast. She'd be, by far, the newest and largest doing Mexican Riviera itineraries.
