Oosterdam to Alaska 9/11

My partner and I (both early 40's) are a part of a gay group booked on the Oosterdam out of Seattle to Alaska on 9/11.
We live near the waterfront in downtown Seattle and would like to host a champagne reception on the deck of our condo the evening prior to the sailing for those who are arriving in Seattle the day before the cruise leaves. So, if you are on this ship either independently or part of the gay group, I would love to hear from you.

Hi Steve - this is fantastic. I love your web site - you must be back from Venice. We just got back from the inaugural voyage of the Westerdam - had a fabulous time.
Our condo is near Clay and Elliott so not sure if that is near your friends or not.
I take it you will be on the September Alaska cruise - I'll put you down as our first champagne toast guest for Friday night. We have a friend coming in from London for the cruise so this will be quite an experience for him as well as he has never cruised before nor has he been to Alaska. Let's keep in touch

Hello,

I am not going on the sailing myself but don't mind celebrating others' sailings!

I will have my Westerdam gallery of photos published very soon - almost at completion.

Well you are welcome to join us by all means
What did you think of the blue and pink cement benches with the little odd looking creatures?
This is the only think I looked at on the ship and thought, "what the heck" ?

You mean on the aft pool deck? If so, I did feature that in my photologue . . I am trying to think where else they may have been located?

Steve, no these cement benches were located in some of the passenger level elevator areas. They were so ugly, already chipping and peeling and were painted Pepto Bismol pink and dark blue. They really were so ugly I'll bet within a few months they will be replaced. If you want, I'll send you a photo we took of it, it was so ugly it begged to be photographed
