Nice to hear that we are not alone - with so little action on the "Connections" blog and the prices of this cruise dropping weekly we were beginning to wonder. Our first Baltic cruise and first time to Amsterdam.

In every city we visit there are free guided walking tours. Ship excursions can be expensive. Type in "free walking tour of Amsterdam" or any city, in Google and find the links. Some you register for, and some you just show up. They last about two hours. The reviews on them are very good. We have found one in every city. Also, if you are interested in visiting Ann Frank's house in Amsterdam, you can go online and buy tickets. They only let so many people in a day, and it books up fast. We have also booked a canal tour in Amsterdam. We are staying there a few nights before the cruise.

Thanks for the information - we are arriving in Amsterdam early Friday morning from Montreal so will have a few days to visit and see the City.
