jessybell Posted April 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2014 Can anyone recommend an insurance company who will reasonably cover us for our World Cruise next January. It appears that most insurance companies will not insure an unoccupied house for more than 60 days even if your family call in once a week to check post and plants. balf Posted April 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2014 Can anyone recommend an insurance company who will reasonably cover us for our World Cruise next January. It appears that most insurance companies will not insure an unoccupied house for more than 60 days even if your family call in once a week to check post and plants. We have extended coverage to 90 days after contacting our insurer. Have you talked to yours as this should be the first action. If you have familly or good friends who would be willing to stay overnight or longer this should work, but again you should contact your insurers. Try Towergate who do offer longer term insurance. Let us know how you get on. David.
Norfolk Brit Posted April 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Try Saga - very helpful when a relative's house was empty for a long time. Mary
jessybell Posted April 6, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Thanks for replies....we will try your suggestions.....looks like we will have to go with Cunards insurance company as none of the other companies seem interested in going over the 90 days.
