Ecstasy LOVERS, Ectasy Haters...come one, come all!

We are looking at taking the August 29th, 2014 Ectasy 3 nighter.

Would fly in Thursday the 28th and do MIA before we go, then on the boat, then Saturday at Nassau 10AM-7AM the next morning. (what is great is that Saturday is the start of college football, baseball is going on, etc) so the sports book at the Atlantis, the casino, and the slides. Anyways....who has been on this itinerary. What do you suggest? What do you know?

The ship....what's good about it, what is bad? I normally like ships like the breeze, glory, sunshine, etc. so please let me know!

Luv this ship! I am slightly biased as this was the very first ship DH and I sailed on 2 yrs ago and we became cruising crazies after that! I have to say the thing I loved most was we could go to the buffet at the back and out the door and sit and relax right on the bow area just as if we had our own balcony. Some of the larger ships do not have this area - where you can just take your coffee and just sit and relax, read a book, sun or whatever and be right on the water. We did not feel the need to be "on the go" all the time and we really enjoyed it, so much so that now we always book in the aft of the boat to be near the area, although the bigger ships are not laid out exactly the same. We also loved the crew - super friendly. The dining area had no lines - we got spoiled easy cause of this - of course we sail in January when it is a little less crowded but still a great cruise. You will love this ship! :)

We cruised her last year and she was clean and in good repair. Nothing wrong with her, but we really missed some of the "extras".

I was on the Ecstasy at this time last week and had a blast. Very nice ship with a great staff and plenty to do. I would not hesitate to go on it again, in fact, I have already been looking at next years schedule.

I too LOVE the "Fantasy Class" ships, and especially "Ecstasy", and "Paradise". These ships are so much more fun, IMO, than the big impersonal ships. You actually get to know the crew, and lots of your fellow guests. Entertainment is much better as well, and the walk from bow to stern doesn't take all day either! ;) I've sailed these two ships (Ecstasy and Paradise) 8 times in the last two years, and can't wait to get aboard again. GREAT CRUISES!

It was our first cruise, so we didn't even realize we were missing the extras, but looking back the extra things are missing on that ship. But that doesn't stop it from being a wonderful ship.

It's smaller, I never felt like I was part of a crowd, we had a balcony, which was wonderful. I guess these were added on. They are closer to the water and they are wonderful. The aft hot tubs never seemed to be busy and we liked to go there after dinner and there was no one there, ever. We always felt like we had the aft to ourselves.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this ship as long as you are aware it doesn't have all the upgrades!!

Love the ship, been on it three or four times, including my honeymoon cruise! Great crew, room stewards knew us by name, greeted us everytime he saw us, very attentive with ice buckets and extra chocolates at night ;D Mongolian wok is a must! Great dining room staff as well.
