Silver Galapagos, Time of from Baltra to Hotel Oro Verde in Quito

Very excited to be planning our trip on the Silver Galapagos this August. Our flight is scheduled to depart Quito at 6:40PM. Will we have sufficient time to make our flight. What time do we arrive back to Quito from Baltra?

 

Also if you have stayed at the Hotel Oro Verde the last day of your trip, how close is it to the airport and what are the accommodations for the day.

Are you returning home from Quito or Guayaquil? The Oro Verde is in Guayaquil. The group flight out of Baltra to Guayaquil was scheduled for 12:45 P.M. and we arrived at the Oro Verde around 4:30 P.M. or almost 5 P.M. (The Galapagos are on hour earlier than the mainland.) If you are leaving on a flight out of Guayaquil at 6:40 Saturday, there isn't any reason to go to the hotel.

Booked for the full two weeks in June! Flight from Guayaquil is after 11:30 PM. Do you know if the Oro Verde hotel just takes you to the airport a couple of hours before your flight, or is there some sort of group transfer by the Silversea ground handler, A&K?

We had a private van transfer provided by A&K, but we were the only ones on our flight, leaving the hotel at 3:30 AM. We were fully escorted through checkin by an A&K guide. If there are others on your flight, you may share a van. Edited April 17, 2014 by NJ Cruiserman
