Wonder Cruise Anniversary Celebration

I have two questions. Please be patient with me; this is a first post and first cruise. First of all, we are cruising with my entire family (four families, 18 people total) for my parents 50th anniversary. Does anyone know of special functions we can plan for them? Are they worth it? And do I contact DCL for this? Second, I have a just turned 13 year old son who wants to take part in the teen activities, but is nervous as he is not exactly an outgoing person and is new to this "teen" business. (All of the other siblings/cousins are 10 or under.) Do the Disney cast members in the teen club help the kids get to know each other??? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.
