Beach question

What facilities do Long Bay and Half Moon beaches have, in particular umbrella/chair rentals, restaurants? This is for a Feb. 2006 cruise.

 

Do they both have vendors walking the beach?

 

What has been your experience?

Half Moon Bay has only one beach bar - it's about a 2 minute walk up from the beach and no vendors. This means no beach chairs and umbrellas. It is a great beach.

Long Bay has 2 beach bars, teeshirt ladies and a beach chair/umbrella rental shop. At either end of the beach, there is a hotel - Long Bay and Grand Pineapple Beach.

Which beach is nicer? Long Bay, Pineapple or Turner's? :confused:

1/2 moon is better than all of them IMO mostly because there are no umbrellas and all of the other stuff real touristy beaches have. As far as the others go though, i think they both are as good as each other. Another one to look at is Castaways at Jolly Harbour. Same as Pineapple and turners as far as facilities and food, but more activities on the water.
