There were all ages on board last April. My husband and I are in our early 40's, travelling with two 16 year old girls. Our Cruise Critic had couples from 20's- 60's. If you travel during school vacation times you will find more kids, and 30 -40 something cruisers.

My wife and I went in march and we had passengers of all ages, from college students on up to retired folk. It was a good mix :)

Melika091900, which date are you going? We are booked for the January 20th STAR to Mexico! We are 3 couples: ages ranging from 50 yrs old (actually cellabrating two 50th birthdays while on board) to about late 50's. All six are first time cruisers and we can't wait!! Any suggestions for things for us to not miss while in any of the ports would be great.:)

hello

we are also going on 1/20!! how funny

ive been looking on this msg board about shore excursions ive heard alot of different good things to do, we love the water but ive heard there are a million jellyfish in puerto vallarta, and from experience the water in cabo is rough!!! I heard in acapulco that the water isnt too too good for snorkeling but there is a nice relaxing beach there called las gatas, i think, for sunbathing, relaxing , swimming and drinking, and everyone is saying to do the whalewatching in cabo, and also in acapluco the cliff divers at night with the laser show,

look at this website it has some really good pictures of the ship and some public areas www.swansongrp.org

i really enjoyed this website,

what deck are you going to be on , we will be on the 8th deck in a balcony,,,i had to get a balcony , we did on our last trip and it was so worth the extra $$$ plus we are smokers ( which is bad) but its nicer to have a balcony for that, my husband and I are going along with my newleywed cousin and his wife , we are all in our mid-late 20's , like to have fun and relax, well have to meet on there,, that would be fun

5mo to go ,,, take care and see you aboard

ps, are you flying in? or staying overnight, theres a really good deal at the holiday inn san pedro for sail and stay its 140 for 1 night hotel and to park your car there, really good deal,

take care

We will be on the 9th deck, I think our cabin is 9172. The other couples are on either side of us. Half of us smoke, half don't so we all had to get verandas! Thanks for the website, I'll check it out. I'm also reading some tour books, so that should give us some ideas too. I'm sure we will be the other ones in the casino at 3:00am! We fly into LAX the same day we depart on the ship. Just flying from Portland, Oregon so it's not too far. Thanks for the info. I'm researching like crazy and reading these boards all the time. :) I figure the closer it gets to January, the more threads there will be about our cruise.

Melissa,

My husband and I are in our fourties. We had the same experience when we cruised on Celebrity Millenium. We loved the ship and service but I would guess that the average age was 75yrs old. Not that being old is problem, but they certainly are impatient and we got so tired of them complaining about everything. Besides NCL, we have sailed on Holland American & Royal Caribbean in addition to NCL.

Holland America may have a little older crowd but not nearly as extreme as Celebrity. Our first cruise was on NCL during the 80's and have sailed with them several times over the past twenty years. NCL has always catered more to the outdoor adventurest, easy going, party hardy cruiser. As a result the average age tends to be younger.

thanks for the info, i know what you mean about celebrity

and on top of that the shows are catered to the older crowd liking also, thats why when my husband and I were on the conquest and they had an R rated comedian at midnight i was in heaven it was the funniest show ive ever seen, i was so impressed with their entertainment!!!!!!!

celebrity has better service though, they cater to you more than on carnival, but like you said everyone is over 70 for sure,,,,,, and they love to give us youngins funny looks when we do things!!!!!!!!

hahahaha

thanks again
