Carnival Dream Ocean View vs Balcony

We are looking into possibly booking the Dream for November 2015. There are 5 of us and we have been informed that we can only be in an ocean view room. Has anyone been in one with 5 people? I really want my balcony but was told I would have to get two rooms that join with balconies. Thanks!

The deluxe oceanview staterooms are 230 sq ft while the balcony staterooms are 185 sq ft plus 35 sq ft for the balcony. If the budget allows, I would do 2 cabins but if not, the oceanview stateroom will be larger than what you're used to, plus it will have the split bathroom.

 

Btw, we had a wonderful time on the Dream!
