Open-foot versus Closed-foot Fins

Paul Gauguin furnishes closed foot fins, which are perfectly adequate for trip. I have open fins, with footies, I use for scuba. I brought them and only used them once. The Paul gauguin package was much more convenient for excursions and I never had any trouble walking from shore to put on fins. I did not scuba this time, but I have in the past and the closed fins are fine.

PG Dive shop has plenty of closed heel fins, typical 2 size type (7-9), (10-12), etc. They also have long fins for diving and shorter fins just for snorkel. They give you a mesh bag to keep them in for the trip.

Tip - if you are going to use the PG Gear, go down to the dive shop as soon as it opens on departure day. It gets a little hot and stuffy down there, so don't be dressed for dinner and decide to just pop down to get your gear.

Have a great trip
