CruiseFan3035 Posted April 25, 2014 #26 Share Posted April 25, 2014 So I looked at the website and the cruise we paid $779 pp for (we have two balcony rooms) is listed for $609. I'm going to have my husband call out PVP as long as we don't lose the location or rooms, I'm hoping we can get the price drop. Me 😃
cruzin4our10th Posted April 25, 2014 #27 Share Posted April 25, 2014 I saved $1220 on 5 cabins today with this promo for our 8/2/14 Breeze. Did look like there were 2 different 123 Promos and one was for assigned later rooms, which we didn't want.
CBuzzy Posted April 25, 2014 #28 Share Posted April 25, 2014 I emailed my PVP early this morning and he made the change on my balcony. When I first saw it two rates were showing...one guarantee and one pick your room but the later disappeared. He still changed it with us having the same cabin. $230 difference. KPfromCT Posted April 25, 2014 #29 Share Posted April 25, 2014 This promo is a considerable savings for out family; however, it was my understanding that if you price match to this sort of promo, you lose your room and Carnival gets to pick a new one for you. We like our Empress Deck, Midship location and have family in the interior across the hall.... I would love to call up my TA and turn in a price protection form, but do not want to lose my room. Would I be able to price match AND keep my room??? Thanks! Sara Not true!!!!! They have TWO different ones: 1. Carnival Picks your room 2. You keep your cabin We kept our cabin and saved $520:D:D:D I am DANCING right now!!!!!
KPfromCT Posted April 25, 2014 #30 Share Posted April 25, 2014 I just saved $520 on our Lido Balcony on the Breeze, for July:D:D:D Check your fares, people. Good LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!:D

bunnyfoofoo82 Posted April 26, 2014 #35 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Keeping my room, I was able to drop my price $ 300. I was really happy with our original price so this is icing on the cake! I think of it as a discount on the Cheers program! :D:D:D
turning40withMickey Posted April 26, 2014 #36 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Booked thru a TA so I sent him an email tonight and hopefully he will get on it tomorrow. I took a screen shot (sort of, I took a picture of the computer page with my cell phone). Looks to me like we can save $520 on our three cabins. Fingers crossed!!:D I previously got a $60 price drop and thought I was living large. HA HA
jmwg49 Posted April 26, 2014 #37 Share Posted April 26, 2014 I had booked onboard and got OBC for that...I had to switch to a guarantee cabin...which is fine with us...but we got a $200 savings....and I got to keep my OBC....so win/win I figure
Cruiser IMA Posted April 26, 2014 #38 Share Posted April 26, 2014 I checked fare viewer and saw that the price dropped $130 for July 6th on the Pride. Called Carnival to get the adjustment and was told that if I switched to this rate I would lose my current $150 OBC that I got when I booked originally. Wasn't worth it as I would end up being out $20 if I changed. Sucks, but I'll keep checking for drops.
beachnsnowbunny Posted April 26, 2014 #39 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Just saved $320 on our two balcony cabins on the Splendor aug. 4th.
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted April 26, 2014 #40 Share Posted April 26, 2014 For us, the new rate for an oceanview is $482 more than we are paying now (with the kids sale free rate). Oh, and at least for our cruise, there is only one 123 days rate, and that is with picking your own cabin (no option for the guarantee)
hockeyluver Posted April 26, 2014 #41 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Ok so I just "bit the bullet" and moved from an inside to a balcony for $300 total we are in a guarantee balcony cabin.... sound good?? felicemmp Posted April 26, 2014 #42 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Thanks for the info, fellow Carnival cruisers. Just got our fare reduced $200 for our upcoming cruise on the Breeze. Same cabin, more $$ for spending on board and in port!!:):)

Everything seems to be about 100/day for inside. any help? Just go to Carnivals site. I put in July, 2 people, port canaveral and got 2 pretty cheap sailings/ 1. Liberty 8 day Eastern $609pp and 2. Sunshine 7 day western $609. These were for inside cabins.
elainmir Posted April 27, 2014 #45 Share Posted April 27, 2014 Well I checked and mine would be 135 lower but I have questions as I've never done a price drop...I booked the Casino Offer they sent me.. I <3 my slot machines :D casino incentive it's not that much just 50$ per person which is 100 for us..so I'm looking at it like I'd only gain 35 bucks.. I don't even know if I can do a price drop...I get confused with all the ES and offers...my cruise is completely paid for. Thanks for the advice in advance guys. LParente Posted April 27, 2014 #46 Share Posted April 27, 2014 Yay!! Price drop of $250 on our Aug. 10 Conquest sailing. Lost our $150 in obc, but we kept the same cabin. Sent from my KFJWA using Forums mobile app

I called again just now and hit it off with the rep I was talking to(We're both Jamaican) and was able to get the $130 drop, keep my room, my $150 OBC, and my 30 day final payment date. Today was a good day. :D;)
