I emailed my PVP early this morning and he made the change on my balcony. When I first saw it two rates were showing...one guarantee and one pick your room but the later disappeared. He still changed it with us having the same cabin. $230 difference.

This promo is a considerable savings for out family; however, it was my understanding that if you price match to this sort of promo, you lose your room and Carnival gets to pick a new one for you. We like our Empress Deck, Midship location and have family in the interior across the hall....

I would love to call up my TA and turn in a price protection form, but do not want to lose my room. Would I be able to price match AND keep my room???

Thanks!

Sara

Not true!!!!!

They have TWO different ones:

1. Carnival Picks your room

2. You keep your cabin

We kept our cabin and saved $520:D:D:D

I am DANCING right now!!!!!

I was able to get $300 price drop AND keep my room. The same room number is shown on Carnival Booking Summary.

Booked thru a TA so I sent him an email tonight and hopefully he will get on it tomorrow. I took a screen shot (sort of, I took a picture of the computer page with my cell phone).

Looks to me like we can save $520 on our three cabins.

Fingers crossed!!:D

I previously got a $60 price drop and thought I was living large. HA HA

I checked fare viewer and saw that the price dropped $130 for July 6th on the Pride. Called Carnival to get the adjustment and was told that if I switched to this rate I would lose my current $150 OBC that I got when I booked originally.

Wasn't worth it as I would end up being out $20 if I changed. Sucks, but I'll keep checking for drops.

Im not finding anything at a good price. Im looking for July 2 cabins. Sailing from FL, most any port.

Everything seems to be about 100/day for inside.

any help?

Just go to Carnivals site. I put in July, 2 people, port canaveral and got 2 pretty cheap sailings/ 1. Liberty 8 day Eastern $609pp and 2. Sunshine 7 day western $609. These were for inside cabins.

Well I checked and mine would be 135 lower but I have questions as I've never done a price drop...I booked the Casino Offer they sent me.. I <3 my slot machines :D casino incentive it's not that much just 50$ per person which is 100 for us..so I'm looking at it like I'd only gain 35 bucks.. I don't even know if I can do a price drop...I get confused with all the ES and offers...my cruise is completely paid for. Thanks for the advice in advance guys.

So after being told I couldn't get the price drop the other day. I called again just now and hit it off with the rep I was talking to(We're both Jamaican) and was able to get the $130 drop, keep my room, my $150 OBC, and my 30 day final payment date.

Today was a good day. :D;)
