Yes, you can pre-book by requesting a reservation on Carnival's website. I don't think kids eat free, but someone else will have to answer that. The cost is $35 per person. Here's the link to request a reservation

Can I pre - book before our cruise the steak house? How much is it and do children eat free if ordering from the children's menu?

Yes you can make a reservation via e-mail. Cost is $35 per person, children included. There is no children's menu in the steakhouse.

We just got off the Pride and our 7 year old was charged $35 for dinner. They did not offer a childrens menu. It was my sons 17th birthday and we wanted his day to seem special, otherwise we would not have taken the children. It was a long drawn out dinner, and our 7 year old was quite bored.
