Cruising soon (May 11) we will be staying one night after the cruise on Sunday, May 18th. Flights were much cheaper to fly out next day. I can't decide between the two hotels. Caribe Hilton is 108.00 Sheraton is 154.00. Caribe is on a beach and pool area looks nice. Sheraton has the conveinence of being right next to the port. I don't know! Help!

We were at Sharaton OSJ recently.. typical no-frills Sheraton, but location very good. Walk to the Forts, Ferry stop is close if you want to go to Bacardi, Old Town Shuttle is close by as well. Starbucks is a few blocks away. Great mojitos and puerto rican food at a nearby restaurant called Mojitos.

It really depends on which experience you are looking for.

The Sheraton would give you access to all of Old San Juan, with the restaurants, bars and historical points, like churches and forts nearby. Also a casino.

Caribe offers a wonderful pool area and a so-so beach, but a nicer one is a quick walk to the West. We've stayed here a total of about gary8 days, pre and post cruise, and love it. There were a couple of off-property restaurants and a mini-mart to grab some food if you wanted to avoid the high-priced on-site food offerings. Even walking to the Condado area is an option (daylight hours).
