Questions about drinking packages

sorry I didn't mean to sound like I was judging Americans - its just that with different expectations from peers and adults they acted differently from my DD and her friends of the same age. No right or wrong approach to alcohol age - just different. There are some youngest this side of the pond who should not be allowed it - and I wouldn't want to be cruising with them if they had access to a bottomless bar lol!!

 

I don't think you were judging anyone. Most kids my age do act stupid about alcohol.

can someone clarify this for me wrt eu cruises can an over 18 year old buy/get cocktails on an eu cruise. Is the wine /beer rule just for the US. Our young adults look after themsleves at uni all year and they can buy what ever the wish over 18 in UK (16 in some other EU places). My youngest DD will just have turned 18 and I planned on treating her to a one or two pina coladas on our cruise. She doesn't like wine- yet:p

 

 

I can confirm that, on European cruises, anyone aged 18+ can order alcohol, including cocktails (our 18yo son just did so on the Jade).

They charge the full price. There is a wine discount for multiple bottles. When you board they will have a table set up with the various packages. Something along the line of 15% of on 4-6-8 bottles.

Thanks for that. I have had the premium package on Celebrity before and they only charge the difference and give 30% (25% now I believe) discount on any bottled wine you purchase.
