SCUBA - St. Thomas or St. Maarten?

Just got Open Water certified and will be on the Getaway in September. Which of these islands is the best for SCUBA diving?

 

Would appreciate any recommendations on dive shops for either of these ports?

By far, St. Thomas. I recommend Blue Island Divers, but there are several good operators there.

Has anyone used Coki Dive in St. Thomas?

Yes I have been with the Coki Beach operator. They are OK at best for me you will find some who love them and their dive site. It all depends on your experience level, your exposure to other operators and how many other Caribbean dive sites you have seen. If I had the option I would choose St. Thomas with Blue Island Divers also.
