Which airport to fly into for Pt. Canaveral?

We might choose the Mariner for our next cruise in March

 

and would like to know the closest airport to Pt. Canaveral???

 

Also, we would like to avoid spring break time as well. Any clue as

to when spring-breakers will be out in full force?? Or is that just Ft.

Lauderdale?

The nearest MAJOR airport is Orlando (airport code MCO), about a 50-60 minute drive from the airport to the port.

 

There is an airport in Melbourne but it is much smaller and offers limited service.

 

As for spring breakers, I think pretty much any time in March or April you will find them...at least in Southern California, the schedules are pretty spread out.

You can call RCCL and pay for the shuttle bus to take you to and from MCO - the port.
