Let'sCruise Posted May 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2014 We are a group of 7 arriving on the am train the day of our cruise, June 6. I understand the train goes to the depot rather than stopping at the cruise terminal and that the depot is about a mile from the terminal. With luggage, children, cranky spouse and unpredictable weather, I don't want to ask them to walk although it would probably feel good after 7 hours sitting on a plane. I am sure that there are taxis available, but is there a shuttle to reserve? I saw that the Seward free shuttle starts at the cruise ship and stop 2 is the train depot. After checking in and depositing luggage I would be up for a tour but would prefer a direct drive to the ship upon arrival. Any suggestions of companies would be greatly appreciated. KAYEF Posted May 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2014 The train really doesn't have a "depot".........it stops very close to the ship and you just walk over. We didn't even have to take our own luggage...............it was taken care of and showed up in our cabins. The only thing we had was our carry-ons. No taxi needed. ENJOY!!;)
