I will be arriving in Fort Lauderdale 2 days before our cruise and will be renting a car.We are sailing out of Miami on the Victory. Renting a car In Fort Lauderdale and dropping it off in Miami. What car rental would be the most convenient to drop off that you recommend? Thank you in advance..

We just did the same thing in May. We went to Thrifty Car Rental, rented the car at FLL and dropped the car off in Miami Airport location the morning of the cruise. They offer a free shuttle to the cruiseport from the car rental place. Can't beat that. I will warn you that the car rental drop off place is a bit hard to find (off the beaten path but by the airport) so give yourself a few extra minutes. Happy cruising!

There are no rental car companies AT the Port of Miami, you have to return them to MIA as the previous poster did. Many (but not all) rental car companies will shuttle you to the port, or if not, a taxi from MIA to the port is a fixed price of $21.
