I didn't book last minute in fact when they were released most cruises sailed full with little discounts the very early or very late might be best, we went in August if you look in my signature line there is a lot of information, navigators and photos from Alaska last year. Enjoy.

 

I would highly recommend a verandah room as there is stunning secs nary all the time and the top decks have crowds most of the time.

 

As you cruise the inside passage you go up and then back down you get to see both sides and the sea is very very calm, to save money book your own shore trips not through DCL.
