Do they have future cruise credits on Cunard.

While onboard, you put $300 down for a future cruise with your credit card. If you book a cruise within a period of (I believe) three years, the $300 is applied to your first payment and you get cruise credits varying according to the length of cruise you book. A seven day cruise gets you $100…

If you don't book a cruise, the $300 will be returned to you.

When you and your spouse each put down $300, the cruise credit will be twice the amount.

If you are a veteran of the military, it is worth another $100 cruise credit (depending on the voyage booked---all sailings on Cunard don't seem to award credit for veterans service, although some do).

I think this is the same system used on Princess.

On Princess you pay $100 for Future Cruise Credit and can apply it as your deposit on a future cruise, plus you get $100 OBC, no restrictions.

The military benefit is the same on both lines--$50 for under 7 days, $100 for 7-13 days, and $250 for cruises over 14 days. DH an I are both qualified veterans and we love this benefit.

Punki, as Jimmybean has said, the cost of a future cruise deposit is $300 on Cunard. That $300 works like the Princess FCC. The OBC depends on the category of cabin booked and the length of the voyage. For a 6-9 day voyage, the OBC is $200 PP in the Grills, $150 PP in a Balcony, and $100 PP in an inside or oceanview. For a voyage of 10 or more days, the OBC is $400 PP in the Grills, $300 PP in a balcony, and $200 PP in an inside or oceanview. The credit is valid for four years from the date of issue. Have a wonderful voyage!

Terms & Conditions are Different for U.K. Customer's,

Passengers will pay £50 per person to be used as a Future Cruise Down-payment. This will go towards the deposit for a future cruise booked. They will then have 1 calendar year from the date that an FCD is made to apply it to a future cruise booking.

In return passengers will receive the following onboard credit benefits on their new booking, once it is confirmed. This is exactly the same benefit as if the passengers had made a confirmed booking on board. This scheme is for UK Guests, the scheme for American guests will remain the same with it’s relevant terms.

Sailings of 6-9 days

Stateroom Category Onboard Credit Amount

Grill $200 per person

Balcony $150 per person

Inside & Outside $100 per person

Sailings of 10 days or more

Stateroom Category Onboard Credit Amount

Grill $400 per person

Balcony $300 per person

Inside & Outside $200 per person

How do Future Cruise Down-payments actually work?

Passengers will pay £50 per person on board their current cruise; this transaction is processed as a standard payment transaction straight onto our reservations system. This is registered against the passengers Cunard World Club membership number. An FCD can only be processed from a passenger’s credit or debit card, payment can not be made against an on board account or in cash. Passengers can choose to advise the travel agent that they have booked their current cruise with, that they have created the FCD (via an FCD confirmation). However the FCD is registered against the passengers Cunard World Club record. Passengers will receive confirmation of the FCD on board, this will show the benefits they will receive once the FCD is applied to a future cruise booking, along with the terms and conditions of the scheme. When a passenger decides upon their next cruise holiday, the FCD will automatically pull through, once they provide their Cunard World Club membership number and will automatically apply a £50 payment towards their deposit and the applicable on board credit amount. Should the deposit amount be more than £50 then the remaining deposit amount must be paid via another payment method. Should the amount of deposit be less than £50 then the full FCD will still be applied and will reduce the balance outstanding at the time the booking is made.
