Best Beach in Ensanada

Can you walk to the beach? Do you head north or south?

There is no beach to walk to. Ensenada is not a beach day. When you walk into town ther is a lot of garbage in the water. Yuck. But I have been there at least ten times and love the town for some drinks and food and just walking around.

No beach with-in walking distance. There is a nice beach in La Fonda which is about a 20 minute drive north.

There is a beach about a mile south (opposite direction of the tourist area) of the port. But from what I understand there are no services there.

There was a picture a while ago about the coastal freeway between Ensenada and La Fonda being closed due to earthquake or land-shift. It looked BAD.

 

(I just did a quick search and it seems like one has to detour inland). Attached link shows the severity of the collapsed road :eek:

Most people coming to Ensenada looking for a beach choose Estero Beach. Just do a search form Estero Beach up above and you'll find lots of threads full of information about prices, taxis, etc.

I agree with Estero Beach. Best restaurant and view anywhere in Ensenada. Best day trip by far. Been there many times.
