New Years Cruise - Oosterdam

Hi. We are getting ready to book the Mexico New Years cruise on the Oosterdam. Has anyone ever done a new years cruise on HAL, and if so how is it and are they worth the holiday cruise fare permium?

[Southbound]

We were on the Rotterdam for this past New Year's and had a wonderful time. There were parties in three different venues (we opted for the one in the Crow's Nest); hats and noisemakers were distributed to the pax; trays of hors d'oevres were provided, along with complimentary champagne. The captain and his wife, along with other officers and staff, made it a point to visit each of the venues and mingle with the pax. The celebrating lasted into the wee hours.
