Celebrity Infinity - Iceland & Fjords - 23rd June

Dear Community!

 

My wife and I (young married couple, early 30ies) will go on our first cruise On June 23rd.

 

I wanted to thank the whole community for all the information this forum contains.

 

It helped us a lot in order to decide which Cruise line we will take, etc. etc.

 

We will keep you up to date and report about our first cruise experience!

We booked Aqua Class, Deck 11, portside, aft.

 

Portside because we wanted to enjoy the "midnight sun" on our first night at sea from the balcony (ship heading north, sunset in the west).

 

Furthermore we will have a nice view to the coast of Norway when cruising from Geiranger to Bergen.

 

Aqua Class cabins have been recently refurbished, so that sounded good as well.

 

So we are very excited :-)

I am very pleased you have found the forums useful. I don't think you have signed up for our Roll Call. I trust you have found that and all the ongoing discussions on there, particularly with regard to shore excursions, useful.

Yes I found that Info, but can you explain to me what exactly is a Roll Call?

 

We booked the shore excursions already in advance via Celebrity because we wanted to have everything settled in advance.

 

At some stops we decided to be flexible and decide spontaneously.

Dear all! The cruise was absolutely spectacular for us! Besides the perfect weather conditions (Geiranger!!!!) the speciality restaurants were excellent.

 

Looking forward to our next cruise in November (Newzealand).

 

Cruise Director Pete was doing a great job, the shows were great every evening and the onboard organization reaaally good.
