Singles departing Southampton

I am recently single but still fancy doing a cruise this year. Any likeminded people in the same boat? Dont fancy sharing a room but dont really want to spend a holiday on my own, sob sob !!

I am a single female sailing solo on the Queen Elizabeth July 25-August 1. However we do not sail from Southampton. I embark in Rome and disembark in Venice with stops at Corfu, Greece; Kotor, Montenegro; and Dubrovnik, Croatia. Would you consider leaving from somewhere other than Southampton?

I have just done a solo cruise from Southampton ...on Azura to the fjords.I didn't know anyone on board but met lots of people both in pairs and alone.I asked to sit at a table of solos.we all used to go to the shows together after dinner.I loved it so much I have booked another for next year.

I think people are more comfortable talking to solo female travellers ? But I like the idea of the solo dining table, I hadnt thought of that.

I have ended up at solo dining tables on my last 2 transatlantics and they were great. Not sure if you have thought about doing a TA but there are always lots of solo cruisers on them and many leave from Southampton.

That would only work if you were willing to either spend a few months in the states or sail Cunard back.

Exactly. Dont think that would work. Thinking about it I'm not sure the cabin sharing would work either. For that to work you would at least have to meet the person first.....
