Ladies, if you are interested in the onboard spa massage services, I encourage you to attend the Free Ladies Pamper Party as my daughter and I did. On this cruise it was held at 12:30 on the first sea day in the Cabinet room. I do remember us moving to a different room because there was a wedding ceremony going on in that room and it was past the reserved time I suppose. Not only that but there were so many women for this party, that small room would not have been held us. A couple of the spa staff taught us about facial products and how to apply them, using their samples. At the end of the seminar, you are able to sign up for any 3 massages for $99! The massages are for anyone you want to include, not just for those who attended the seminar/party. Good Deal! We took advantage of that deal and enjoyed it.

I am loving your review. And what a nice looking family you are.:)

I went on the best cruise and vacation of my life with my Mom on the Liberty wayyyyyy back in 2009. Still, I remember those changing light colors in the atrium. It is nice to revisit some of those places with your review.

Thanks for posting it.

:)

St Thomas starte out rainey but it turned out to be a nice day. We took the Sunny Liston island, shopping and beach tour. It was a great tour. A little scarey but good. Scarey because Sunny drove pretty fast up those steep mountains and winding curves but we survived thank God!

After picking us up from ship pier, our first stop was at a market with lots of vendors selling souvenires. It was raining but we did manage to buy a few things.

I will break here for awhile. I promise to finish this port tonight.

The second stop on tour was at the famous Banana Dacquari spot. Mr. Liston gave us a bit of history about

St Thomas and neigboring islands. It was also a huge tourist trap for spending more money on stuff, and of course my husband couldnt resist buying a banana dacquari.

The last stop of the tour was to a beach of the tour group's choice. The majority voted for Meagans Bay. I wanted Coki but the tour guide sounded like Meagan's was the better choice. The kids enjoyed the water, it was too cold for me We were there for a couple hours before returning to the ship.

Next port- Old San Juan.

What can I say about Old San Juan? It's gorgeous, picturesque, clean, peaceful and different from any other port I've ever cruised to. We really enjoyed our too short hours in OSJ.

I reserved the Spoon Food/ Morning walk tour for our day in OSJ. Great tour. We took a cab to the meeting place and waited along with two other tourists (sisters from Chicago who flew in and spent the week there). The tour guide came right on time, introduced ourselves and we were on our way.

I dont remember the name of this place but it reminds me of the Citadel military college at home. I know, its a shame not to remember the name of sites you paid to see.

I am LOVING your review :) Thanks for posting. I'm getting married on the Liberty next year and love seeing all of the pictures and reading about what people do in various ports.

Thank you for reading. I was skeptical about writing a cruise review but I told myself I should at lease give it a try since I always read other folks' reviews when I'm planning a cruise.

The tour's first food taste was at a small but chic coffee shop type resturant. I thought we were getting tastes of some of Puerto Rico cruisine but we had meals!

If you're thinking about taking this tour, go hungry.

First food stop

This is what we ate. The pastry was light and sweet. The coffee tasted a little like cuban coffee. Its sweeten with brown sugar. Both were good.

Hubby purchasing coffee at the resturant.

We did more touring after coffee and pastry.

A Catholic Church

DSC00676_zps86152a20.jpg

Inside of the Church. While I was taking this pic my family was outside calling me to come outside. When I did, there was a large group of nuns following a hearse. we asked the tour guide was was going on. She said this was done when a dignitary dies. She didnt know who it was though. Sorry tried but didnt get a shot of the nuns. They walked very fast. I think my hubby has it on his cell phone. If so,Imay post it later.
