Ocean Spirit Posted June 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Just wandering if your experience was a good one... air working, security doing their job keeping people away who aren't renting a cabana. All the reviews seem to be pretty old. Appreciate any info
Nathanyell Posted June 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2014 We were there in February of this year. Everything was great! It was a beautiful day so we did not need the AC. The security did a good job of keeping people away from the beach area. They asked people to leave when they were not with a group. There were two ships in port that day so it was well worth the money to have the separate area. Food/beverage service was excellent.
CruiseAM Posted June 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Not as recent as you want but we were there in January. All was good. Stay away from #4. Bad mildew smell to the point you could not stay in there. Other than that, watch you bill for your food and drink. Make sure you add it up when presented with the paper billing. Ours was off - benefiting them. But I would definitely do it again! We still talk about the great time we had at the beach. You look across the water and the public side is packed. At times, we were the only ones in the water in the Cabana area.
RubyGold Posted June 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Any pictures? I'd be interested in doing this my next visit there.
Badfinger Posted June 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Is this a carnival "excursion"? If not, how do you book a cabana?
LTS1960 Posted June 26, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2014 I have a question about the cabanas. I booked the excursion and only booked it for myself as it says it's for four people but only one person in the group will have to pay. So...what happens when I get the excursion ticket? Do I get one ticket for all four of us and then get the wristbands for all of us at the cabana check-in or do I get four tickets? Miller_KC Posted June 26, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) You get a ticket good for 4 people to get on the sky lift. Once on the beach you go to the service center and get your wrist bands and someone to escort you to your cabana and to set it up. The wrist bands will let you ride the sky lift to go back and forth. The "renter" will be required to leave their sail and sign card as a deposit on the key so someone will not be able to go back and forth to the ship. We were there in May and had a great time. The bar and security staff were spot on. The waiters did not come around and bother us but if we started looking around for one they were there quickly. The beach along the edge of the water is public as long a people moved along or were in the water Security didn't interfere, but didn't let people linger on the beach and stopped them if they started to come up where the lounges were located. Well worth the money to us, but there were plenty of other interesting beach locations once you were there that were not very crowded. They had little electric boats with 2 loungers and a clamshell cover on them that looked like they would be fun. Another area had beach canopy beds, but they didn't seem to be very close to the water. Edited June 26, 2014 by Miller_KC

RoscoeJames Posted June 30, 2014 #9 Share Posted June 30, 2014 We had a great time in March. We had several people wander up including a young couple who got in our hammock. You just have to tell them to go or ask security to assist. The Cabanas are well worth it.

River_Rat Posted October 23, 2014 #15 Share Posted October 23, 2014 How do you know what cabana you will have? I have this booked for an April 2015 cruise, and did not get an option to choose one.
