Middleager Posted June 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2014 We'll be sailing on Conquest out of Miami on Sun., Aug. 24/2014. Would the ship be changing times depending on ports, or will it stay at the same time as the home port Miami, EDT? If staying with Miami time, for the ports Tue Aug.-268am5pmCozumelPort time?Wed Aug-278am5pmBelize Thr Aug-288am6pmMahogany Bay, Roatan Fri Aug.8-298am4pmCosta Maya What would the corresponding local time we'll arrive? Thanks.
Singer4Him Posted June 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) The ship will stay on it's original time zone. You will just need to remember this when you are in port if you are looking at their clocks and they're in a different time zone. I believe all of the ports that you listed are in central time zone so it would be an hour earlier than the ship time. Does this make sense? Kamloops50 Posted June 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Depending on the Captain , time on the ship may or not change.

Need to find out about Roatan, whether 1 or 2 hr ahead.

Middleager Posted June 27, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted June 27, 2014 You might find this site helpful... http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html Ah, that's good. Plugged in 8am EDT, get 6am for Honduras CST. Wow, they have to be up earlier to handle cruisers. Hmm, by the time we get picked up to get to the dive op, it'll be early for their morning dive. Well, unless they go out for the first dive at 8am.
TampaJules Posted June 27, 2014 #13 Share Posted June 27, 2014 Port times are for my 10/5 sailing on Conquest, but probably the same for yours. I did this because I wanted to know when the sunrise\sunset would be ship time. I deleted that part since it will be different. o Miami - Eastern Daylight o Cozumel – Central Daylight – 1 hour difference § In port 8 am – 5 pm ship time o Belize – Central Standard – 2 hours difference § In port 8 am – 5 pm ship time o Honduras – Central Standard – 2 hours difference § In port 7 am – 3 pm ship time o Cayman – Eastern Standard – 1 hour difference § In port 10 am – 6 pm ship time
