Neenaval Posted August 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2005 We are booked on Europa for Thanksgiving week, our first trip on Costa, and its last western Med trip before repositioning to the Canary Islands. Does anybody have any info about this ship, or advice about what to do in Corsica, Palma de mallorca or Barcelona? (I already know we won't be at any of these places long enough to do everything we'll want to see!!! Port time is always too brief!:):) We're also spending three days before and one day after the cruise in Genoa. How should we use our time in that area? barbarat Posted August 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2005 Just got back to UK from a Costa Europa cruise. Shoip, - nice rather than impressive. We found food good, but wouldn't say it was spectaular. We were on a Norwegian Cruise (ex Amsterdam) , & Med cruise likly to be different but Englsh speakers in minority - about 20 in the group out of about 1400 passengers, but many other passengers spoke English , all crew/waitresses ect spoke v good English. You will get used to waiting for the 5th/6th announcement o hear the English version (courtesy of Mark the helpful English host - say hi from Barbara) Entertainment ok - nightly shows, entertainment/games during day in lounges & on pool deck & in evening in Lounge also. European passengers i thought got more involved in the evening games/ themed evenings. Also a young age profile - although it may be different in November, but a lot of people/smal groups in their 20's on board. Any specific questions feel fre to ask
