acr8tz Posted July 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2014 We're arriving in Marseilles at 9am and need to be back on the ship by 3pm for a business meeting. Based on the reviews we've read, we shouldn't waste our time in Marseilles. We think we want to spend the short time in Aix-en-Provance. Any suggestions on the best way to get there? Things to do? Etc?
vivian02 Posted July 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2014 We have been on four Europe many times and have done four cruises. The only time in Marseille we did a half day ship's excursion that turned out to be a really nice tour. Les Beaux is a short 50 minute drive to an area that is well worth the money for seeing a part of France that is quaint. I hope this helps. Rare Keith1010 Posted July 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2014 I would also post this on the France Ports Of Call Board. Keith

Galveston Cruiser Posted July 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2014 We have been to Marseilles several times and absolutely love the city. There is small tram (train) at the Quay that offers tours around the city, We took the one up to Notre Dame de la Garde. We were fortunate it was a Sunday morning as we were able to attend Mass at the Cathedral. The views are beautiful. Have had some great lunches on the side streets, walked through the Christmas market and rode the Merry go Round.
