Your Time dining on the Imagination

We're taking the short Baja cruise in a few weeks on the Carnival Imagination. First time cruising with the kids.

There are many reviews and posts about "Your Time" dining on this particular cruise, many complaining about the long wait times. Our last cruise (RCL) was our first time to try anytime dining instead of traditional, and the experience was similar- very long waits. But by the end of the cruise, we had figured out which times and dining rooms were best for the shortest waits, so it worked out really well for us.

But this cruise is so short that we probably won't figure it out until it's over. What tips and secrets can you share that make YTD work better on this ship?

Thanks!

In general be prepared to wait if you get there around 7pm, especially if you want a two-top. Unless it's changed the whole forward MDR is ATD and there are many large tables available.

Carnival does not take reservations for ATD. It's first come first served.
