Any advice on whether to choose a port or starboard balcony on a northbound alaska cruise? I am wondering if the view of glaciers is better one side or the other.

 

Also, we are looking at a midship location which might be above the casino. We are not smokers and wonder if anyone has noticed any smoke smell from the casino when in these cabins.
