Spirit to Amsterdam

Hi

 

We were on Spirit in April and thinking of doing the 3 night from Newcastle on her just so can enjoy the ship and staff again....

 

Anyone else on this or have done the itinerary before ?

 

If i read correct the port at Amsterdam is walking distance to the City Centre

That is true but more often than not you berth at Ijmuiden a bit out of Amsterdam. Last time we did this on Celebration, there was a problem with us berthing at Ijmuiden so the Capt got permission to go down the canal right into Amsterdam which was a very interesting transit and we did berth right in the city but I don't think it's the norm. You would need to check out exactly where the Spirit is due to berth.

Just had a look at a cruise port timetable site and it does look like it's the port of Amsterdam - so that's a bonus. :)

I was told Spirit would be docking within a short walking distance of the centre of Amsterdam. I booked just last week and there are quite a few on FB who are booked. :)
