Anyone been on a New Years cruise?

Recommended Posts

Yes, there were two formal nights on the ones I have been on (once on Dream and once on Legend). One of the formal nights was New Year's, and people were dressed nicer than normal on average. Sparkly dresses and more suits, etc.

New Years cruises are really great. You get hats and noise makers in your cabin that evening. Complimentary champagne flows freely all evening. There is a really great deck party on Lido leading up to midnight, when they blow the horn--no fireworks of course. Even the crew and staff join in the celebrations. Christmas and New Years cruises are more expensive, however.

Here's hoping you have a great New Years Eve cruise. Bon Voyage!

We did a New Years cruise this year. 2 formal nights, with New Years Eve being one of them, and a little more dressy than usual. I'm sure any dress you would normally take would be fine. Big party on the lido deck as well, went very late.
