We got the called to upgrade our 2 balconies to 2 grand suites for 1600 for both cabins. Is it worth it

Very true. I can take that money and book our next cruise while on the ship. Those cabins are very nice. But we are not going on a cruise to be in a cabin.

Don't do it. I would only do it if you planned to book a suite. $1600 is a lot and that can be used for onboard expenses and excursions.

Forget another cruise, consider the savings towards on board expenses, maybe some sensible shopping, etc., and the rest towards another cruise. Now, for $500 I'd do it, but not $1600!

Love Love LOVE the Suites, have a B2B booked in one this January, it is the cherry on top of the cake when Cruising, Take it and enjoy, you wont want to go back to the small rooms

Yes. The upgrade is 350 a person. They are basically charging regular price. We are paying 750 a person now. It would be 1100 a person. So they are really saving us 150 a person to upgrade...

I would measure it by considering the length of the cruise, i.e., 7 days vs. 10+? and whether there are several "sea days" that you would enjoy that extra space and services. A port-intensive cruise would not merit the extra costs, IMHO.

No it is definitely not worth it.....you could another cruise for $1600. Enjoy your balcony and spend the money elsewhere

I agree we prob would of done. But my grandfather just died and we had to pay for a funeral that is the day before we leave (this Friday). We cannot cancel the cruise so we are going to make the best of it.
