Ft Lauderdale post cruise early check in?

Can anyone suggest a hotel that allows early check in as a practice? I know 'if the room is ready' is always a possibility, but I would prefer to have a confirmed early check in.

We are looking at staying another day after our Feb cruise. We did this last year and stayed at the Bahia Mar post cruise. Arrived there at 10:00am and we were very surprised they gave us our room immediately. It was a fluke but it made all the difference in feeling like we were still on vacation.

Doing a luggage drop and getting in the room at 3pm is not the same in my opinion.

The only way to guarantee that your room will be available when you arrive in the morning is to reserve (and pay for :() the room for the night before, and let the hotel know that you will not check-in until 9:00 or 10:00 AM.

Most better hotels will be happy to store your bags for a few hours while you get lunch and you can check-in after lunch when your room is ready.

You can call the hotel and ask if they have an early check in fee, less than a full night. But if you need the room, after a busy night before, you won't be guaranteed anything. We have luck getting in a room more than having to wait. Depends too on the room need you have. If open to any bed arrangement and location, chances are better they will have a room earlier.

Didn't know that - thanks. We are not picky as to location or bed arrangements. We can handle anything for one night (mostly ;)).
