Power Snorkeling in Belize? First-time snorkeler, would this be fun??

Hi all,

Seems like I've asked on three or four different boards now so I should probably ask the experts here. :D My husband would like to try "power snorkeling," he thinks the scooter sounds absolutely fun and fabulous. Can anyone give me any ideas about how this works, and if it's worth it?

Thanks again,

Rose

I have seen a few excursions described as "power snorkelling" and I am assuming that this is what they use http://www.seascooter.net/I bought one of these units a couple of weeks ago, and it has exceeded my expectations......we are going to take it with us (with a second spare, rechargeable battery) on our 14 day Sea Princess cruise next April. It will likely enhance our snorkeling excursions tremendously. The unit has enough power to pull both my wife and I together (she just hooks her arm around mine) and it pulls as at a nice speed and is extremely manouverable.
