mia10010 Posted July 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2014 I keep checking the shore excursions to get a cabana for HMC if someone cancels, and I noticed a new shore excursion listed. It is listed under the NY port and called "Home Port Advisory" and the price is $0.01 per person LOL. I am sure it is a typo, but I had to laugh when I saw the price. This is what's listed: Home Port Advisory New York, NY - Mon, Aug 4 Minimum age: 99 years Activity Level: Easy Duration: 1 Hours Departure Times Experiences: Sight-Seeing $0.01 per Adult $0.01 per Child

mia10010 Posted July 11, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Hmm is there a senior citizen discount? That's funny. Maybe they are offering it to passengers at this price to offset the rise in gratuities.:D
Luckycruising Posted July 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2014 What i've always assumed (cause this is on every sailing), is that the system needs to charge something, this homeport advisory (from what i assume) is to sign up to get notifications if your embarkation is delayed for example. Smart Arsenal Fan Posted July 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Title got me excited! :( How would an "advisory" be interpreted as an actual tour?

ohiogymrat Posted July 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 11, 2014 From another thread on this topic Here is what John Heald had to say about the subject. "The home port advisory is something that we put there for internal use and its not anything we actually offer the guests until such time as text alerts for delayed embarkation etc are needed"

iconoclast Posted July 11, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 11, 2014 My PVP told me it's some strange quirk in the system, that they need to display something for the home port. I don't think anyone actually buys it.
