Spa Junior Suite Quantum

Thinking of traveling on quantum and found a spa junior suite available. Problem is friend who is traveling with me this time requires the use of a wheelchair occasionally . Will the wheelchair fit through the doorway to the room and/or the bathroom door??? Are all of the doors of the junior suites whether accessible or non accessible the same size?

All doors for a RCCL Standard cabin regardless of category or ship are approximately 23" wide. All doors for an accessible cabin regardless of category or ship are 30"-32" wide.

 

All standard cabins regardless of the category and or ship have a step into the bathroom and a 23" wide door. Therefore a wheelchair cannot enter the bathroom.

 

Also a Junior Suite has a tub/shower combination which would require your friend to have to step over the high tub edge to get in and out.

 

A typical standard RCCL cabin main entry is 23" wide from door frame to door frame. You than have to depth 2" for the depth of the door when open as it does not open flush to the wall making the actual entry clearance only 21" wide.

 

If your friend requires the use of a wheelchair to get in out of the bathroom than you must book an accessible cabin.

If they are only an occasional user of the wheelchair - does it fold up? Could they fold the chair and walk through the door? If so, then you're fine.

 

If not, contact RCCL, both the Quantum and the Anthem have accessible junior spa suites.
