Did Mountain Top the home of the famous Banana Daiquiri ever rebuilt after the fire that burned it to the ground ??

Yes they did rebuild the Mountain Top and views from the top are absolutely beautiful.

The original burned down in May, 2009 and the new version is just doesn't have the same charm. You will want to experience it for yourself, but we would choose a stop at Drake's Seat for the amazing view of Magens Bay, and instead of the $12 banana daiquiri at MT stop for a drink elsewhere. We didn't enjoy them our last visit, and it just feels more "commercial" now.

If docked at Havensight you can taxi or tram to Paradise Point for the view of the harbor and their Bailey's Bushwacker.

I agree the Banana daiquiris are not as good as they used to be like years ago, not worth the $ and their merchandise is very overpriced.
